About Tebbit Counselling & Psychotherapy
My mission is to provide a grounded, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where high achievers, athletes, and students can better understand themselves and move forward with confidence.
Drawing from both lived experience and evidence-based practice, I help clients manage pressure, overthinking, and performance demands while building resilience and self-compassion.
My work emphasizes developing a greater understanding of self and practical strategies that support emotional regulation and sustainable change. The aim is to foster psychological flexibility, resilience, and overall well-being within and beyond the therapy space.

Sport-Related Experience
A Message to You
If you are an athlete or student, you already know how to work hard. You have invested time, energy, and discipline into your goals. Yet stress, overthinking, or confidence dips can still interfere when it matters most. I understand the frustration of feeling capable but not always able to access your best self under pressure. My role is to help you strengthen the mental and emotional skills that support consistent performance and overall well-being.
For parents, not knowing what is happening internally for your son or daughter can be worrying. It is common for parents to ask themselves how to best offer support, how to encourage openness without adding pressure, and how to help their child communicate what they are really feeling. Your desire to protect them from unnecessary pain or mistakes comes from care, love, and experience—but knowing how to do that effectively is not always clear. We can work together to improve communication, avoid pitfalls, and provide your athlete with the support they deserve.
You're Not Alone
Striving for success can be isolating, especially when you feel you are expected to have everything under control. Many high achievers struggle quietly, unsure of where to turn. Therapy offers a space to slow down, gain perspective, and build tools that support both performance and quality of life. If you are feeling stuck or stretched thin, we can work together to bring clarity, balance, and confidence back into focus.
About Me
Why work with me?
Many of the people I work with are high achievers, athletes, students, and individuals with ADHD. I understand the internal pressure, constant self-evaluation, and mental fatigue that often come with striving for excellence, because I have been there myself. My background gives me insight into the demands and mental load that come with chasing performance and excellence. Together, we focus on maintaining ambition while developing flexibility, self-awareness, and resilience.
What working together looks like
Sessions are practical, structured, collaborative, and tailored to you. We will identify strategies that support both immediate relief and develop longer-term growth, choosing tools that fit your routines, values, and goals. I integrate reflective conversation with clear psychoeducation and skills-based work, always grounding interventions in evidence and relevance to your life. You can expect thoughtful questions, collaborative goal-setting, and a focus on applying insights outside the therapy room.
